Spent most the day sunday trying to figure out what was wrong. Turned out had 3 bad coils which decided to fire when ever they damn well pleased. Which explains the odd sounds the motor was making. Could also explain the drop in perfomance at track at end of last season.

Put stock coils back on and changed plugs. Entirely different car. So I'll be back out next race day to beat the living hell out of this thing.

Stuff like this gets put off to the side and next thing you know far too much time has gone by. Well enough is enough and I am sick of chasing 11's on motor. So F it and 11's, game on now. Just picked up only pieces of shiny crap just because I refuse to use the stock black plastic valve covers on something I am sinking lots of money into. Only thing holding me back is to stay with blower I have or go turbo. The latter is winning the battle in my head.

Set of Moroso Sheet metal valve covers. Should work out nice for what I have in mind besides looking better. Picked them up cheap too ;)

60lb Siemen Deka injectors, HPX slot style maf w/harness +flange and Walbro 300lph fuel pump on the way.

Head gaskets. Should I just use the normal MLS type or thoughts on the SCE ICE Titan copper gaskets?

Go with the blower you already own Ed. Only an idiot would try to run a turbo car week in, week out, and beat it relentlessly ... Oh crap ;)

The blower will get you where you want to go and can be sold off for an upgrade later. The turbo will drive you nuts with heat issues.

If you want to have fun, add a shot on top of the blower for glory runs.

Ordered a 6061 intake elbow less any extra ports. Just a spot to mount IAC. So more shiny **** to keep Bob happy :D

Got fuel pump today. Should work decent and with wiring mods to support some nice hp without using a BAP. Uses the Walbro 39/55 turbine body and flows close to 300lph. Plus if not enough I can drop in the Walbro 400lph pump without doing any mods to basket. This also reminds me a I need to buy a better soldering gun. As I will have a lot to do thru out the car.

Little shot thru top of basket. Can see how bottom of pump gets wider.

Intake elbow arrived. Really nice piece.

All four inside corners welded in. So nothing to interrupt air flow.

Put this to side for too long. Now back at it thanks to car finally meeting a long time goal of 11's NA.

Using a newer 2V timing cover. There is one bolt that doesn't align on a Teksid block. I drilled out block and tapped for that hole. Unfortunately I drilled a little too far and it puts bolt hole into inlet water passage from radiator. Plenty of material I just should have paid more attention as threads are an easy 1" deep. Gonna have to epoxy over bolt to build up over it inside passage.

Top hole in center is what I just did. One to bottom left of it is one that doesn't align. I could have left it alone and not used it but it would bug me.

Mocked most items. Need to clean up intake under elbow as the corners will mess with airflow out of elbow. Probably swap out fuel rails for something using o-ring fittings. Also saw a better way to run fuel lines and integrate fuel pressure sensor better.
