Spent day cleaning up my mess of random wires from out under dash. Got dash pulled. Ended up being easier than I expected. Pulled heater box weighed it. It was 18lbs gone. Friggn dash is heavier than it looks. Will see what I can remove from that. Get the holes in firewall closed up an engine bay will be done.

Also weighed stock driver seat and must say it weighed more than I thought. 60lbs

Already have most of the rubber/foam off firewall which is not shown removed. Just have more to get off around pedal assembly. Guessing 5lbs there but will know once weighed.

Was you stock seat a power seat? I was gonna swap to a manual seat base in my Mach 1 because I think you can get the seat to go into a little lower position and I'm guessing it would save a good bit of weight.

Got holes from heater box closed up. Just need some light touch up and sanding and I can paint engine bay.

You ought to trim that pinch weld down on the firewall. Go back to the spot welds. It can take an easy inch off and looks so much better too.

I've seen that and it does look good. Might do that. Should be a quick clean job. Course with my luck it will take more time than I thought. Like everything else I've done so far

Hahaha. Yeah. I know the exact feeling.
Honestly, when I did mine I think it took 3 minutes. 4" grinder with a cut wheel, then a flapper disc to debur it.

Need oil pan, header gaskets, header bolts. Then can drop motor back in. Then the fun of modifying the chassis/engine harnesses begins.
