Ok I think....I hope....this was last thing to do on front of car, welding wise. Leaves thru-floor sub frame connectors to fab and get roll cage installed. Then just finish wiring, brake system and buy tuning software.

Anyways, trimmed up top posts on radiator as they touched. Then modified upper mounts to make them work underneath top of core support. Just need to clean it all up and paint core support.

Still need to paint headlight panel. Gonna try to get back to working on this after NFL season is over and everything else gets more normal. Goal is back on track for start of '18 season.

Master cylinder size for manual brakes. Keeping with stock brakes, 2 piston front, single piston rear. Would I want 15/16" or 1" bore size?

I am installing a Skinny Kid Racecar kit on mine. It came with the Strange (Mopar style) master cylinder in 1 1/8" bore. Their kit includes instructions to modify the pedal fulcrum point so not sure how that affects your choice of master cylinder. Like most things for me this season, it's not installed yet so no feed back on feel.

What I do know is I had stock 73mm single piston calipers, and SVO rear single piston calipers to start, with the SVO 1 1/8" master cylinder and the brakes was good. Last season I swapped the single piston out for Wilwood 4 pot brakes and nothing at all felt like it changed. That's why I think the 1 1/8" will be good on mine, especially with the pedal ratio changed.

Hmm I did see many kits use that Mopar master cylinder. Could try it. I know I need to move rod connection higher.

Ok so more stuff arrived. Got a 17" Kirkey seat with black tweed cover. Floor mount, seat brackets and roll cage brace. Also got setup for manual brakes. 1 1/8" bore and will see how it works. Ended up with a Jegs kit that also had line lock and bracket to mount to master cylinder. I needed a new line lock anyways. Actually a nice little setup. So now I can get brakes finished and with seat. I can get going on roll cage install. Only waiting on manual steering rack(quick ratio) and steering shaft from Maximum Motorsports. Also picked up Fox body QA1 bump steer kit since the one I have won't work with new steering rack.

Still need to get front and rear yokes so I can get measurements for driveshaft. Finish ordering stuff for fuel system and get this pig started and tuned. May even just go with a 76/75 Precision turbo and call it done.

BTW - it's a small thing, but if that mount for the line lock is tight, the bolts aren't long enough into the nylon, lol ...

Just finger tight. Yet to touch nuts/bolts with gorilla tools

Thought firewall mount was a Fox body mount. Seems they changed design to avoid using the bottom left stud that is on 94-04 cars. Happened to look a Jegs site and was umm this doesn't look like picture. Maximum does same thing I saw with theirs also.

Friggn plate is for a Fox body so brakes did not get done. Was not even close to fitting on even if it looks off slighty from a Fox piece. So not sure wtf is up with it. Searching around one would think just getting the MC plate would be easy. Stumbled on some from Racecraft Inc and ordered it. This drives me up a wall sometimes.

So seat is mounted using RaceCraft Inc setup. Worked out pretty nice. So I can start messing with sub frame connector and cage. Also got master cylinder mounted and pivot on pedal changed. 2" down from pivot gives a 6.5:1 ratio with stock pedal arm.

Also Flintstone power was no longer a good way to get car back in trailer. New seat makes it way to hard to get in quickly. So trip to Harbor Freight for a 5000lb winch and remote setup. Welded angle to mounting plate for winch. Notched flooring to drop it thru and bolted it directly to frame. Just need to tidy up wiring. Was so nice to use it first time.
