    Ecoboost dyno durability testing

I just came across this and thought it was very cool. I can't wait to buy my next ford with an ecoboost in it. I just hope the Focus ST is affordable when it comes out next year because if it is my GTI is getting traded! :)

That is impressive. Maybe they should give it to me for a while for the torture test. Unfortunately, I have gotten pretty good at breaking things.

Crazy. I'm confused a bit with the new engine lineup in the F150's. Used to have 4.6 and 5.4 options. When they ditched those and went to 5.0 and 6.2 I figured that to a logical advancement. Now this Eco-Boost comes along and the HP is about equal to the 5.0, the torque and MPG is about equal to the 6.2. If you were considering a new F150 which engine would you like to have? To me it seems to be a toss up between the 6.2 and 3.5.

I have a friend that is very "inside" the workings of the Ecoboost platform. He has been testing the new Borg Warner EFR series turbo's on the ecoboost engines for a motorsport application and called them "magical". This is from a guy that is deep rooted in reality. When this stuff all hits the streets together this platform will own all.

I'm counting down till I get the ecoboost F 150! Looks like it's going to cost close to $40K though.
