Nasty crash at Thompson today

A Chevelle lost it on top end at around 130 mph, crossed the lane, got launched of the guardrail, and took a track light pole out. The guy beside him said he was 20 feet off the ground upside down when he hit the pole. By the time we walked to top end life flight was on the way. They took him as a precaution. He was able to answer questions when asked. I heard he is doing good. The car is wiped out. Here is the crazy part. From the time he lost control until the time racing was back underway was roughly 1 hour.

Woww, that's pretty tuff and wild! I saw an older fast 6 second prostock lookin car get into a nasty crash at the top end of the strip at a PRP GGG event a few years back.

He has a broken back but will be okay according to posts on bracket talk.
