it was a 300$ 3.85 stroke crank, he knew it was a time bomb but didnt seem to care, the crank ws rated for 550HP, but i think he was a hare over that with the motor.

Ya...i hear ya Quik....terminator motors with 1000rwhp on stock bottom ends is pretty embarrassing for FoMoCo. They should just give everybody refunds!!
BTW: I hear Chevy is offering incentives for all LS1 owners to purchase oil at reduced pricing since they use so much of it.

it was a 351w block and the harmonic balancer came apart and that is what caused it and yes it was worth it
I have seen a few people ruin motors and trannys because of cheap balancers with rubber.
it was a sfi balancer
