    99-04 v6 swap to a 99-04 v8.

Someone save me some search/google time and tell me what is needed to do this swap? So far I have:

    computer

    anything else needed?

    you sure about the hydraboost??

Im 99% positive you need a hydraboost. the v6 have the big ass vac, booster

you will need a rad, coolant tank, all the hoses Including heater core, and the accesories, Power steering pump, a/c, alt, etc.

tranny with wiring harness, possibly new fuel lines, throttle cables, coil packs, power steering hoses, motor mounts, a/c lines, and more. thats all I can think of off the top of my head..

you'll need to do something with the PATS as well unless you have the keys and gauge cluster from the car you took the computer from

    lol

yeah the 96-98 computers have it too but its a separate module, in 99 it went integrated into the gauge cluster. if you keep all the stuff matched that was mated: key, module/cluster, and computer the car will start......or the computer can be tuned to ignore it.

Might be able to get a 97 GT for cheap (3k). Does the IRS from the 01, 03-04 cobras swap in?

It will, but I was thinking the wheel spacing is slightly different. Can't remember if it sits them in or out farther.

    Yes it does

its a pretty straight forward swap drill some holes on the subframe and bolt the mounts on. Ive never done the swap myself but i read into it alot to swap into my foxbody
