Hey J, I had considered adding some apron panels, but honestly see it as too much hassle to deal with getting them. All this call to order stuff is a pain with my lifestyle of not being home a lot. If I can go to a website and place an order I might buy something for looks, if its a hassle, I'm fine without. Nothing against his stuff because it is nice, just not worth my time right now for looks.

Just got done reading your whole build thread, didn't have the time when I was my own build. Very nice. Seeing the pics of what happened with your stainless header made me happy that i didn't go stainless, people actually hasseled me cause I didn't. What a pita to have to remove and repair. Nice build, hope to get to see you run @ one of the NMRA events.

Thanks, yeah I will never go there again. That thing broke at the worst possible times, took me out of last years Columbus true street and the Semi's at PRP's UMTR race ... Such a pain to deal with ... for a while I was keeping FelPro in prodcution on embossed SS Turbo gaskets :( The new header is Schedule 40 pipe so I could stick weld if needed ;)

The good news is, I picked up my 3.50 1st gear tranny tonight ... that's the last of the missing parts to put this junk together

i actually like the 3.97 first gear more better, but the splits are sooooo nice on the 3.50 1st tranny ....

3.50 - 3.50 2.14 1.39 1.00

3.97 - 3.97 2.34 1.46 1.00

It makes the third to 4th drop tolerable, and makes it easier for me to race 1/8th mile.

Nothing great to take pictures of, but I got all the intercooler pipes and cold air intake bead rolled on the ends and back assembled for the last time. Everything under hood is together and ready to fire.

Moving to the tranny / bell housing next.

Everything related to the cold air and charge pipes is done, all bead rolled, and installed final .... pretty much what the new combo looks like going forward ... Just need to spend some time on clean up asnd detailing, but the parts are in the right places :D

Did an inspection and gear oil change on my trusty 8.8 ... Have I mentioned I love my Detroit Locker :D First rear end to make it through a season without issue for me and come out the other side looking good. Welded, braced, girdled, etc ...

Found a new useful tool too ... Picked up a Pennzoil multi purpose pump for like $12 ... thing works amazing for putting gear lube in, like 10 pumps and the bottle is empty ...

Not sure how long they will hold up, but for the grief it saved, once was good enough for me.
