    It's been a while since any real progress has happened. My job is doing it's best to keep me from working on my car ;)

    Made a trip to my buddies last night and got the finish welding done on the header ...



    Also got the modified downpipe finish welded ...



    I'm hoping to try the thermal coating on the header this weekend and will get my down pipe wrapped and coated. Some progress anyway.

    In the past, I have freely admitted to having a ProStar addiction ...



    Now I think I do really have a problem ... yeah, its another set ;)



    The plan is to mount my Nitto's on these ones and sell off the Summit cast wheels ... all real ProStars all the time :D

    A blower problem is worse than my little wheel addiction for sure.

    Didn't think about taking that with me. Likely going to need something else welded anyway :)

    I already have a collection of dead ignition boxes ;) for a while there I was collecting blown up turbos, didn't have a bad collection of broken tranny's and rear ends either.

    I had a try at the DIY thermal coating today. I am really happy with how it went on, we will see how it dries and ultimatley holds up ...

    all you have to do is run it really lean when you first start it and it will bake it right on

    I'll have to set my idle AFR target to 18:1 when I start it up ... That should work out well ;)

    In between other things today, I was working on cleaning those ProStars up ... The worst set I've ever worked with ... Some spots I had to go to 220 to sand out some carnage ... Got them back to smooth, but far from what I like. They are just for daily driver street tires so they will do as is ... I will start polishing over the next few days in between things ...

    Got a little bit of time with the one I love tonight :D Got the new forward facing upper on, and the MAT (manifold air temp) in its new location ... this should be as accurate a location as it gets ...



    Throttle body on ...





    The next step is to start filling in the gap on this side (header coating needs 2-3 days to cure) ...

    As follow up to this since I have the 120* upper off ... You can sort of see here that the "ribs" follow along with the rotation. I am not expecting any difference in flow right now, but this clears the way to play with plenum volume now that it's going to be set up straight ...

    A little more progress tonight, got the old front mount out and pretty much everything sorted out for the new one. I now have a plan, just need to fabricate everything to mount it ...

    My old trusty Isuzu intercooler ...





    The new cooler will actually put about the same surface area "to the wind", but over 8" of this one was blocked behind my bumper. The new intercooler is roughly the same surface area but will get air across the whole face and is about 50% bigger in volume :D (also has a MUCH nicer flow path)

    Couldnt resist dropping a few things in to see how they will look :D ... Got the t'body coupler and first ell in place. This is roughly where my BOV will live now too. I might bring it up a little higher, still to be determined as I mock up ...





    I'm not a fan of the polished aluminum pipe. likely going to get them powder coated after mock up and bead rolling ;)
