No pictures yet, but I also ordered my new SFI Bellhousing today ....

YIKES, I really love my feet for what this is going to cost in the end :( Safety sure isnt cheap! The good news is it has both the T5 and TKO bolt patterns so the path is now clear to finally get an upgraded transmission under my junk (technically clear, not financially clear).

Huge thanks to QuickTime for stepping up and making these for the 2.3 crowd and getting them SFI approved!

The new bell will also require me to change over to V8 style fork and a direct pull cable. The good news is that everything will be adjustable.

    LOL. Twisted for sure.

Yeah, It took some doing, and I can assure you we are paying for them, but they really stepped up to make these available.

Another LOL, I got a UPR tripple hook quadrant and firewall adjusted from you some years ago.

My complaint is the close proximity of the bolt hole locations between the T5 and TKO patterns....I could actually see light through the thread roots.

I complained and they sent me a custom one with just the TKO pattern. ;)

I still dont have it in my hands to see what you are talking about John, but will soon, I can see how they would be close at the one bolt hole. I need the T5 pattern for the short term, longer term unless I get a sponsor ;) A face plated TKO is on the wish list so I will need that pattern too ;)

We are trying to rally a gathering of 2.3 guys for the 1st Quaker City race (May 29ish??). No matter, come on out and I will drag the grill and coolers and have a good time ;) We might make you sit on the dark side of the pit space, but you should understand :D

Where these holes are closest there was little-no metal at the thread root. THat's why some manufacturers put a slotted hole with a nut that slides in the hole so you locate it yourself depending on what trans your using.

My biggest complaint to the owner (of quicktime) was why would you bother putting a t5 pattern on a bell that is designed for a BBF....no one uses that trans behind a BBF that needs and SFI bell. Lucky for me they were in the process of making another batch of BBF bells so they sent me a custom one with just the TKO pattern.

Overall they were nice to deal with, but for $500+ on a bell, I don't care for the design with a combo pattern.

LOL, the ( + ) being key for this product. I would have liked to be in the $500 range ;)

I do see what you mean, I have mine in hand now. This is even more complicated becasue it's a tripple pattern ...

Also comes with multiple centering rings and hardware ...

Hopefully these add 25 HP as the thing weighs 21#'s ... I need to make up for the weight

Of course the key sticker to the whole ordeal ...

This is only the start, it still wont work with my 4 cylinder trannies until I modify a spacer and change over the whole clutch actuation set-up :(

finally caught up with this thread.... thanks for the pics for the intake comparison. Every time I see a pic of your engine bay I start to drool and wonder if a v8 is really the right way to go :)

Yes it is ... you likely know as well as me what it takes to make a four go ;) 4 cylinder = 1/2 the parts at the same cost as a V8

Fitted the header one last time and got the header, turbo, wastegate and oil return in their final resting places ...

The gate will dump straight down in front of the rack :D

This was from a little earlier in mock up, but this is how the hot side charge pipe will route forward ...

I'm waiting for some misc hardware to show up to put my turbo outlet on and an adapter for my oil line. As long as those show up tomorrow as planned I can get the core of the engine finished and start on the intercooler plumbing next :D (also needs parts that are on their way ;) )

Small parts showed up today so I was able to get my 5 bolt outlet adapter bolted up (now on studs), my oil feed line, and ultimately the exhaust is back on too ...

Ultimately, this is about what it's going to look like from the top ...

Next to get the intercooler mounted, plumbed and start trying to build ducts.
