I almost had the left handed shift mastered too ... now I have to start over doing it right handed ;) ... Hey at least it isn't a mop burn
Didn't you take some oath about being compasionate or something in these matters??
Inside joke there Mike ... On those (VERY rare) attempts when I have missed shifts (badly), it was generally observed as an attempt to shift left handed. I don't know how we ended up there, but it's been a joke with us for a few years now.
Damn ... need to look at my car stuff.... 14 more days of nothing auto related and I can finally get out of this hell hole.
Well, finally home and had a few packages waiting for me.
Got the rest of the parts for my cold air intake ... decided to run 4" to the turbo after a buddies dyno test that saw something amazing with a 4" versus 3" filter (picked up 12 hp) ... The picture shows the 4" stuff versus a 2 1/2 coupler, the stuff is huge ...
Also picked this up ... I always wanted one so I grabbed it from a buddy, but still am not sure I'm actually going to use it ...
Likely a few more weeks to get settled and get this thing together but it's coming
Getting down to it when the fluids come :D ... I picked up a 6 pack of Torco to start the year ... I typically buy a 5 gallon drum of the stuff but am not sure about my schedule for a while and have been using 100 ocatane no lead when I tow to away stuff ... this will get me through a month or so anyway ...
I hope you get some comp-time off for that crappy trip & schedule!

Last weekend of May. I will put up a thread a little closer to the time, but plan to take the grill and coolers and will have food and drink for anyone that wants to come out. We usually get our little 2.3 group of odd balls for that race (triumph, BMW, capri). not looking good for this year but we will see.
youjust wanted one of those shifter handles cause i got one in my capri

Sure Lou, that's why :D ...
Actually, I first drove one in Shaun's 2.3T notch ... with that loose ass clutch and that handle that car was fun to drive ... Frank put one in his SVO now too, so it's really all Shauns fault.
I'm not sure if the handle will work for me with belts on, it might put 3rd too far forward (and 1st be a reach). I am swapping the bell / tranny so am going to have a look and see if the handle will work and go from there. For sure I like that arm on a street car.
i have the comp plus shifter I like the combo haven't broke it yet of course i don't have the need for rapid shifting like you do

hurst got a chrome stick that got a lil bend in it towards the driver and angled back, way more comfortable
Interesting Shaun, not sure what I'm going to do ... I have tried a few other base / handle combos and always come back to what I have now. I would like the stick just a bit longer so I want to try this one. Will need to beep an eye out for that one.
Looks like a nice smooth CAI Bob, also like the red theme, just needs some Scott Rod Fab now ;)
