Yeah Bill, the rear stuff was last years project ... I just did a set-up check and fluid change to see if it had a chance at another season ... I like the Swarr bar, makes a good jack point too ;)

    Looking REALLY GOOD!
I have that pump Bob, it does work well.
Do you half-engine guys have aftermarket TB options? It looks more stock, wondering when you get a restriction there.
I like the 3.50 tranny idea, I really think with boost on the 2-step it will work better for you. Should hopefully be consistent if you can control launch boost with AMS.

Nothing is bolt on for a 2.3 ... that TB is a 65mm from a Super Coupe, but I could make a 75mm from a Mustang work if I thought I needed it ... Guys have been north of 400 HP on the stock 57mm TB, the 65 mm is just easier for me.

The bes ttime I ever ran was on the 3.50 tranny ... it's just made of a irreplacable so I pull it at the first sign of trouble.

I leave on the limiter and it will build 10 psi consistent, then goes right to the set point in the controller. No need to ramp boost with my stuff, no torque until it gets on boost ;)

Gotcha, pressure tends to increase flow even with stock parts :).

Pretty much the 2.3 creed ... blow on it hard enough it will go :D We are stuck with terrible 60's designed heads meant for a Pinto ... it's amazing the damn things run at all :D At least they dont catch fire randomly ;)

Came home from the track yesterday and started to rip out my console in prep for the tranny / bell swap ... Played around with a new shifter handle combo ... I've wanted to try a longer stick (same base) and to go back to a smaller knob. This emans I need my line lock button on the arm ...

We will see how it works, I still have the old combo to fall back on, but playing around (sitting in the car going hmmmmmmm, hmmmmmm, hmmmmm, hmmmmm) I like the longer arm for sure.

Ripped the tranny , bell, etc all out this morning and start to fit up the new SFI stuff. Flywheel, Clutch & PP back in place with the new block plate ...

Got the bell bolted up, and on and off, and on and off, and on and off .... checking the indexing. I'm REALLY happy with that ... Clutch fork and TOB in place and all adjusted up ...

and got all the perimiter bolts installed (there are enough of them) ...

I have a few bolts to change out, four of the bolts QuickTime give you are too short, and the starter bolts are now different. I'll hit the hardware store tomorrow and sort that out. Progress anyway :D

You're in the home stretch Bob. I got a little motivation from the track yesterday only to get it stomped on when I got home and started back working on my heap.

No, had a lifter with a scored face. Looks like it happened when it was ground. It is only a couple tenths deep but you can catch your finger nail in it. Then the new radiator I got isn't a true bolt in like it says. Not sure if I am going to swap it out or not.

Well ... nothing great to take pictures of, but I figured out the missing / odd bolts and got everything together tonight. Oddly, Quicktime mosly changed all the bolts to SAE threads, so I had to chase some of those down :( None the less, tranny is on the car, filled with fluids, and it seems the clutch works ...

Next step is to fire it up tomorrow (hopefully, I ran out of parts anyway ;) ).

Eh, a couple of pictures of the new long handle shifter set-up ...

    1st & 3rd location ...

    2nd & 4th ...

We will see how I like the set-up when I can drive it ... it's easier to reach belted in, and has a ton more leverage on the shifts ... just need to get used to the longer throw ... I have the old set up on standby ;)

Exhaust idle clip, this is off my cell phone so it's not as raspy as it sounds here, but definately has more tractor to it :D
