    best street/strip radials

i have a little set of nittos on my new lx. im wondering whats the best tire for a mostly street driven car with some track time planned. leaning for 315's. car hass 500 at the wheels so something with some traction would be good

My nittos did fine on the street. Just gotta remember to keep 35 psi in them on the street. They did ok at the track, the couple times I went. I think it comes down to personal preference. My nittos do ok in the rain also.

My Mickey are terrible in the rain. I got caught once in the rain and it was like driving on ice. If your not driving the car in the rain go with mickeys. Or if you'll drive it once or twice in the rain go mickeys. Huge upgrade over the nittos.

I've been on the 555R extreme DR's for 3years n luv'd them from all aspects, they did well on the street/strip and wore pretty well too. But um lookin into gettin a new set on my 315's n um leaned toward either the newer Nitto NT05r's DR or the M/T DR II's. Um gonna do some research over the winter thou. Gonna check into and look at M/H, Goodyear and the Toyo's and maybe a few other DR's!

If I keep more than 25psi in mine the centers wear out before the sides.

Nitto DRs are pretty good for the street and strip but I only got 1,500 miles out of them when I had them on my Cobra.

Not sure the size of mine but they are on the stock 17x8 wheels. I honestly have no complaints w/ them.

I always thought mostly stock 2v's would be able hook up on 225 wide snow tires.

    +1 on Mickeys.

MT's are good, but you say you want to run on the street mostly. I'd go for something with a little slower wear. If you go from nitto's to MT's you'll be opening your wallet 3 times as fast for new meats.
