my nittos didnt hook on the street I ended up going with mickey thompsons for the street. they work great!! Never had them at the track yet....
My nittos did fine on the street. Just gotta remember to keep 35 psi in them on the street. They did ok at the track, the couple times I went. I think it comes down to personal preference. My nittos do ok in the rain also.

But only if I let Kenne scream at ya. LOL
i had nto5r's on my old fox and they hoocked great but that was on a 370whp car i dont know howd they would do on this plus i want something that wont kill me in the rain if i had to drive it
My Mickey are terrible in the rain. I got caught once in the rain and it was like driving on ice. If your not driving the car in the rain go with mickeys. Or if you'll drive it once or twice in the rain go mickeys. Huge upgrade over the nittos.
I've been on the 555R extreme DR's for 3years n luv'd them from all aspects, they did well on the street/strip and wore pretty well too. But um lookin into gettin a new set on my 315's n um leaned toward either the newer Nitto NT05r's DR or the M/T DR II's. Um gonna do some research over the winter thou. Gonna check into and look at M/H, Goodyear and the Toyo's and maybe a few other DR's!

Nitto DRs are pretty good for the street and strip but I only got 1,500 miles out of them when I had them on my Cobra.

MT's are definitely the way to go if you are looking for traction.... i was able to hook pretty well on my 255/50/16 mickey's with 700 rwtq...
2015 Corvette Z06
- Shark Grey / Kalahari
- bolt-ons, tune, lots of carbon fiber (642/671 rwhp/tq)
MT's are good, but you say you want to run on the street mostly. I'd go for something with a little slower wear. If you go from nitto's to MT's you'll be opening your wallet 3 times as fast for new meats.
