Does it really matter? Its always been like that... Ford moved to the better breathing OHC motors, allowing them to drop the cubes, and GM made VAST advances with the age-old pushrod technology... although, i'm not sure it matters for you - since i'm sure you're quite used to falling far behind an LSx powered vehicle...

and my math might be a bit rusty... but last time i checked, 6.2 - 5.0 does not equal 1.5

No comparing the SVT 4.6/5.0 4V to LSx technology.

The Ford is far more advanced and clearly shows it in HP/Liter.

Imagine comparing a 283/305 LSx? Hahaha!

Only difference is a liter and a half
    Huh? You said:

I think it's funny. Instead of putting more technology into making a better performing motor, GM and Mopar just add size. Dodge is now coming out with a 6.4L for the SRT-8 Challenger.

    Ford FTW!!
I noted (albeit sarcastically) that Ford did the exact same thing with the Coyote- they added size.

GM adds displacement to make more power.
MOPAR adds displacement to make more power.
Ford adds displacement to make more power.

Get it? Ford did the exact same thing that you're criticizing GM and MOPAR for.

Are you sure you don't own a Honda?

Are you really so thick headed that you think it has somethign to do with Ford being more advanced?? Ford is so evolutionary... holy cow, those OHC motors are sooo technologically advanced... surely there's no other copmany on earth that can make something so groundbreaking!!

So, what do you say when a SRT-4 puts you in the dust? What retarded argument do you come up with then?

SRT-4? Are kidding me? You can't polish a turd.

Ford is one of the few marks that make a high performance DOHC V8.

The fact that they put them in a 30k sports car is unmatched.

Yes. I got that. The issue is tha Ford added not even half a liter to their motor size and are not beating a motor that is over a liter bigger.

We are not talking about forced induction. If that's the case, why is the bone stock 03/04 Cobra still faster than the brand new Camaro?

I did have respect for the Camaro, but that is all lost once the goverment bailed GM out. Now our tax money is paying to create that car.

If you want to have a circle jerk about it, find yourself a GM site. This one is called "Stang" for a reason, and it's not Camarostang.

    yea....... umm..... nice try....

I'll let the quote speak for itself... if you meant something different, then you need to learn to use supporting/clarifying statements.... i mean, if you were comparing 6.2 to 4.6, that has absolutely nothing to do with teh argument since the mustang is a 5.0 now... you were just kinda stuck because SAC81 made you eat your words about the "increasing displacement" argument

    Oh wait a minute...nevermind!

This question doesn't go to just Maxpowers, but to everyone who has said somethign similar....................................

are you serious? you lost all respect for an AMERICAN auto manufacturer because they got a bailout?? What about the fact that they paid back over half of that just a month ago?? was that a small breath of fresh air?

It just doesn't make sense to me?? I didn't loose respect for Ford when they cut nearly half of their workforce, just like GM and Chrysler.....

    http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/13/g...ler-not-far-b/

I mean, if you lost respect for companies that are in financial termoil nowadays, would you ever do anything but sit at home and read classic books?? Over the last decade, not many companies have been lighting up investors with dividend checks....

    OK? Sweet

    You could also say:
"GM is managing to make more power the old fashioned way without all this complicated new technology helping them out. Kudos to GM for not relying on fancy overhead camshafts and multiple intake and exhaust valves per cylinder to make big power."

Seriously, who the F cares. Current GM mills make great power, so do Fords and MOPARs. It's cool that they do it differently, one way isn't better than the other unless you're blindly brand loyal and criticize everything they other guys have.

No. I didn't buy a new GM thinking it was fast.

You were the one comparing oranges to apples. (Mustang to SRT4)

Yes. GM did pay the original bailout money back, however if you actually believe that it's fair and square you are very brainwashed.
