    Gas

Does anyone know when Getgo, Sheetz, etc. buy their gas, do they pay the road tax at the time of purchase or is it something that gets collected and paid at the end of the month as the gas is purchased by us?

Sorta off-topic, but I heard that Sheetz, Getgo, 7-11, and other generic places buy a lower a grade of gas. I heard BP will pass product thru the pipeline, followed by diesel fuel, and then Exxon will pass product thru, and so on. The diesel acts as a barrier between the different company's gas. I guess some of the gas and diesel mix together, and when they separate that gas it gets sold to the generic places.

I live right beside the greensburg BP hub. Sheetz and BP trucks go in and out constantly and both use the same exact pump.

They run a "plug" through between products. In Monroeville on Saunders Station Rd, the Sunoco line runs through. We crossed under it with undergroung utilities many years ago. The Sunoco rep was there supervising us so no damage happened to the line. He explained it all to us. Yoou should hear the pig coming through. It sounds like a huge whistle!!! The same line runs through Crecent township in Moon. Crossed it again there a couple years ago.
