I decided to upgrade from the factory block with a Dart. The build will be very similar to my previous combo, just some stronger parts. I will post more pics as the build goes.

Not only did I fail at building a fast mustang but I bought a yellow zo6 cause I couldn't get my little dick up.
I didnt want to go with the same old black and I thought red would be too much. I like the green and thought it would be different.
Bob you ought to keep it that color pink
Oil leaks are easier to find the on the green.
How much more does the dart block weigh over OEM? 20-30lbs?

Well I wanted to see how it held up after 3 full seasons of racing and the occasional drive so I took it apart. Everything looked great. The bearings looks almost new. The mains weren't moving around. I still had to tap the caps out with a hammer and there was no signs of walk on the bottom of the caps. Anyway, all I have left from the old motor is the DSS stock block, scat 9000 3.400 crank, and DSS MSS and protray.
Yeah I have always built my own engines. I got the block machined already from Fordstrokers, Jim does good work with good prices. All the other machine work, balance ect... is done by Kevin at KMP.
Thanks I cant say enough about Jim and Fordstrokers. His customer service is second to none and thats the main reason I went with him. Any business that takes the time to answer question and doesn't act like your taking up their time will always get my business. Thats also the reason I deal with Rick Anderson also...
its hard to scale from the pictures is that a 4.125 bore ?

Yes I know, ive been a fan of Jim for years now & have been fortunate enough to do some promotions for him. He's treated me very, very well & I couldnt possibly say enough good things about FordStrokers!
Are you swapping your rotating assembly from your 347 over to this block?
Going to upgrade anything while your at it?
