Its only a 4.030 bore because I didnt want to buy new pistons just for a few extra cubes. When these pistons will no longer work I will go with the 4.125 bore.

Basically everything will be the same but I am upgrading the crank from a 50oz scat 9000 cast to an internal 4340 zero balance. Im also going to change intakes from my systemax stage 2 by fox lake to a Victor 5.0 ported by Ron Sharp. Im also planning on a vaccum pump since the Victor doesn't have the PCV in the back of the intake. After all said and done it will probably run the same or possibly slower with the added weight and the loss of bottom end torque from changing intakes. Should be 10.90-11.0's but should be a strong piece.

    100 lbs = about 10 HP

Can't you make that up with some RPM?

That thing should be rev happy.

I agree 100% with the added weight being about 1 tenth in the quater mile. That why Im planning on actually being slightly slower in ET. Im switching intakes to see if it will do a little better in higher rpm's but Im also worried that it might hurt me too much down low. We will just have to wait and see.

I also agree with the fact that there might be some power with having a stronger block. I hear that the stock block move around alot under power and there is alot of cylinder disortion. Who knows, I just wanted something more reliable and to try something different.

Doesn't look like I be ready in time for it this year. I should have the engine complete by then but the car wont be ready.
