Your GT looks great, even stock. It takes a while to get it where ya want it. Ive had mine for 4 years now and still haven't gotten around to lowering it (Soon I hope LOL) but the wider wheels make a huge difference!

Rob's GT is awesome ;) Looks great and sounds even better.

Yes the fender gap drives me insane. The stock stance is horrible, whats a good kit that wont kill my wallet?

Get a used set. Usually like 120 or so shipped for a set if you keep your eye open. Corral.net is the best place to buy/sell stuff for these carss.

Im on Corral and a few others and I never run across what I want. Or if I do the price is through the roof and might as well by new. From looking at AmericanMuscle it looks like $250-300 will get me at least 1.5" front and rear. I am still thinking about cutting the stock springs, ive read thread after thread in both sides of the argument. I figure if I want to get springs anyway but not right now just see.

If you cut them right, its fine. If you use a torch or any sort of heat it'll change the spring rate and give you the ricer bounce. But like a sawzaw would be fine. Its definitely the cheapest.

My car has cut coils on it. PO cut a full coil off in the front and I think 3/4 of one in the rear. Rides great for being so low, just have to know where all those bumps in the road are!

Cobra pic I added above had cut front Eibach coils to even front/rear.
I called Eibach before I did it, did it slow with a hacksaw :), cut-off wheel would have been nicer, then painted the cut exposed metal.
Cutting springs is fine if done slowly without heating.

Congrats on the nice Stang. How is it getting around with this weather? Try painting those starfish wheels black. I have seen a couple of people paint them. Here are a set of Saleen's.

Yeah, but I think stock Cobra springs and stock GT springs are differnt. Differnt spring rate or something. Ive read threads that guys cut stock GTs, if I did I would do 1 coil off each. I have a new cut off wheel I have yet to use so.....
