Mine is a little bigger. He is a Basset hound. He does look like a big beagle though.

Got my girlfriend this little guy for Christmas. 9 week old Dachshund..not sure if hes a miniature or not, seems extremely small, but has some descent sized paws..Didn't get any papers or anything but think he is full blooded.

Hes not too fond of the snow yet, lol. I think its a little too deep for him

I got a 6 month old basset hound, and man is he a destructive chewer! Is yours that way or was he that way? Any tips to get him to stop? Other than that and constant jumping for food, hes a pretty good dog.

We are still dealing with that problem. He never did chew furniture, but he loves paper towels and toilet paper, and he will randomly chew oddball stuff like picture frames, plastic toys, and other stuff. He is almost a year old and has settled down somewhat. He quit jumping for food around 4 months old. Don't leave a sandwich on the table and walk away. It will be gone. He is a good dog otherwise. He is a great watch dog. His super sensitive nose can be a PIA sometimes. If he catches a scent he wants to take off. He wants to dig if he catches a scent too. Some ground bees gave him a lesson over the summer. Good luck with the chewing. Our vet said that should be over with by 1 year old.
