It says OR ORIGINALLY DESIGNED. If your shit didn't come with sidepipes you can't run sidepipes.

Plus if it came with cats and it doesn't have one now it will fail! So most of our cars would fail anyway. We all have racecars.

LMFAO at this thread and all the other street car vs racecar threads. What does it matter as long as it is inspected, insured, registered and able to drive down the street. And who cares if you had a little help with inspection, Ohio doesnt even have it. Are all ohio cars racecars? Why do we have this arguement all the time? Do you win something? This agrument happens because someones ego gets hurt because their junk is slower then the other guys, so he pulls the racecar card. Then they feel better about their self as to why their junk is slow. I take it as a compliment when someone calls my car a racecar. Makes me think I must be doing something right.

Of course, how could I forget the heated seats requirement....also, needs to have a six disk changer and MP3 player, DVD player, backup warning lights and camera, and air conditioning that blows at least 62* F on max. Anything else is a goddamned race car.

Well said man and agree 100%! Im not into all that ticky tacky shit! IMO a street car is what the OWNER of the car declares it to be and gambles with on maintenance/fuel cost whatever! Just because it passed state inspection doesnt make it legal, ie. dark tinted windows pass state insp. but are illegal, state trooper can write you for whatever they want to. Its up to the judge if you go to court instead of just paying the fine.

To AltoonaRacer, yes if ANY police officer in the Commonwealth wants to issue you a citation for the alteration of anything other than factory, TECHNICALLY yes they can. It would have to be issued under Unlawful Activities and then cite the Inspection Manual section that does not allow any alterations other than factory design.

I remember one time I went to court cause the work truck I was running had all the gear and was "blocking the path of the lights" crap and the local police officer got out his state inspection license in court and the judge pretty much laughed at him! wonder how many people on here run a "non factory" hood
