Well... Denny Terzick who won Hot Rod drag week a few years ago is from the area. They blew up the new wicked combo testing and didn't make this year. I can't remember the guys name with the couPe street rod that dominated the pump gas drags, but again it's local. Lots of bad ass street cars in the area for sure.

Not sure on the spelling either, but that's the guy. He used to drive it to the track with the pump gas combo but later changed the engine combo around and started hauling it ... at some point it sort of disappeared too.

I believe I heard Texas too, I know it was sold to fund the new car. Their goal's for last year was a lot better than the old car ran but Steve blew it up in the water box at PRP testing ... Anyone that was up there toward the end of last year, that big oil stain coming past the flag pole on the right side was the remnants of that bullet.

There is also a nasty, nasty, turbo Impala that was testing a bit at the end of last year that is supposed to have the potential to be in the high 7's and looks amazingly stock (until you see the 25.X cert cage inside), I think the best I saw it go was 8.60's at a crazy MPH.

Yeah, lots of variables of street. My definition is something like mine. Functioning and ice cold A/C, every option works blah blah. Not the fastest or quickest but it pulls the wheels and runs 11's, possible 10's this year and I wouldne hesitate to drive it to Florida. Fuel cell=race car. race fuel=race car. spool=racecar. Overheat at a traffic light=race car. Blah blah... If you cant drive it with no worries, its not a street car. If you cant pass a gas station without filling up, its not a street car.

No big deal to him, thats his slow car . Its been 6.9xx testing on ET streets. His race car runs 6.2x at 235 I think it was. You should of seen the flat spots on the front tires after that pass . He lives down the street from me, Definitely the fastest "street" car in the Burgh.

That is one heck of a car, but why the heck would you run it at a track where you don't have enough runway to slow down safely??

He doesnt run at PRP but that was one of the tracks for Hot Rod Drag Week. The handle for the chute bent on the previous pass and he didnt realize it, he put a different chute release setup on it now. Hey he got it stopped.
