Well... Denny Terzick who won Hot Rod drag week a few years ago is from the area. They blew up the new wicked combo testing and didn't make this year. I can't remember the guys name with the couPe street rod that dominated the pump gas drags, but again it's local. Lots of bad ass street cars in the area for sure.
That coupe from munhall was a high 8 low 9 second car, Jim Pranis? 69 hemi charger also high8 low 9 second range. Dennys winning drag week car from a couple years ago i believe is in texas now.
real name-Shawn
well i can tell you its not me
Lots of variables for peoples definition of "street".
Yeah, lots of variables of street. My definition is something like mine. Functioning and ice cold A/C, every option works blah blah. Not the fastest or quickest but it pulls the wheels and runs 11's, possible 10's this year and I wouldne hesitate to drive it to Florida. Fuel cell=race car. race fuel=race car. spool=racecar. Overheat at a traffic light=race car. Blah blah... If you cant drive it with no worries, its not a street car. If you cant pass a gas station without filling up, its not a street car.

oh yea a street car has to be able to be driven all year in PA winters included.. So i vote my tb ss hahahaha
Hey - I don't have wipers on my '66 - I pulled the whole assembly when I had to make room to troubleshoot under the dash. Never got around to putting the wiper motor back in. Rain-X twice per season does a better job anyway!
I think a car can still be a street car with a cage, as long as you can carry passengers safely and legally. To me, it comes down to whether the car is able to be driven around town and on day-trips like any "regular" car.

Not only did I fail at building a fast mustang but I bought a yellow zo6 cause I couldn't get my little dick up.
Not sure on the spelling either, but that's the guy. He used to drive it to the track with the pump gas combo but later changed the engine combo around and started hauling it ... at some point it sort of disappeared too.
I believe I heard Texas too, I know it was sold to fund the new car. Their goal's for last year was a lot better than the old car ran but Steve blew it up in the water box at PRP testing ... Anyone that was up there toward the end of last year, that big oil stain coming past the flag pole on the right side was the remnants of that bullet.
There is also a nasty, nasty, turbo Impala that was testing a bit at the end of last year that is supposed to have the potential to be in the high 7's and looks amazingly stock (until you see the 25.X cert cage inside), I think the best I saw it go was 8.60's at a crazy MPH.
For the right payment I either saw everything or saw nothing ;) LOL
BUT ... your car is a good example, yes, it is as street car as it gets with all working bits, AC, drive it to the track, etc ... But your best runs was on a full on slick ... no street car there by some standards
BTW - as you can see, I',m feeling better now ;)
Wick has the fastest street car in the burgh.
Jeff Lutz is from around Cranberry I believe. Here's his run @ PRP from Hot Rod Drag Week 2010!!
