    Question on Gearing.....

I hate to ask a question that is just insanely vague and completely opinion based... but I am just wondering...

I have had 3.55 gears in my Mustang since I put the blower on. I am making 557whp with a Tremic TKO (5 speed). I do not drag race the car, I just run the guts out of it on the street and looking to start hitting some road courses this summer.

Is there a better gear ratio to go with? I had 4.10's before the 3.55's and those were just revving the guts out of the car. I was wondering about dropping down to 3.27s but not sure how much that will affect the feel of the car....

Whats your guys thoughts???? It didn't seem too cut and dry to me considering I am at a much higher HP than the average street Mustang.

I have a very modest blower car (5-6 psi) with 4:10's. This is a 100% street car and I'm looking to go with 3:55's.
The car was a N/A, AOD car when I first got it, but since converting to a 5 speed and adding the blower, the 4:10's are too much.

I may run it with a 3:08 that's in the rear I'll be installing this spring until I get the gears changed. That'll be one hell of a change.

If it was not suck a pain to swap gears.. I would like to see what 3.27's would be like.... but I really only wanna buy one set of gears.

Anyone have a reason as to why the Richmond Gears are $50 more than the Ford Racing gears????

No Ive blown 2 different diffs though lol....Im sticking w/ the stock ford diff now since rebuilding it w/ the carbon fiber clutches is way cheaper than buying new diffs

no 31 spline explorer diff....got a killer deal on it and the carbon clutch kit is only $100....my auburn wasnt rebuildable and didnt last. Sticking w/ stock due to availability and ease/cost of rebuilding. Ive heard good things about the carbon clutch kit.
