Been thinking about getting one this winter while prices are down.
If so, what make/model do you have, how many acres do you mow, and have you had any problems (or complaints) with it?

I work at a turf company that sells commercial ztr's... all i will say is that if you are cutting alot of grass on a regular basis, dont skimp out and get a home depot/lowes type stamped deck ztr... they are junk and you will regret it... if you have any ?'s shoot me a PM

I have about 2 acres to cut. I use a Toro zero turn. It's not the type that they sell at the big box stores. It would be a mild commercial type and it works fine for what I do with it. If I had more land I would use a full blown commercial type but those are expensive so be warned if you go that route. If I were going that way I would buy a Ferris or a Gravely.

[QUOTE=somethingclever;262467]I will be cutting between 3 and 3.5 acres...what brand(s) do you carry?

sounds like you need a 48" cut... or 60" if you have the money to go bigger... we sell Exmark, Hustler, and Scag.... all of which are well respected companies among the landscapers and municipalities

I know. I don't post much.
And I'm a couple days late to this thread, but...
I cut 2.5 acres at my office, and almost 5 acres at home. I've been using a 60" Country Clipper for almost 10 years. Bought a new one this year because the last one was cremated when my barn burned down in August. Long story.
I love this machine. I can cut the office grass in about 1 hour 20 minutes, and home can be done in about 3 hours.
The new machine model is called the "Boss", and I opted to get the 60" snow blower attachment for the driveway. Don't laugh. 500 feet long by 12 feet wide takes a long time to shovel.
