    66 Fairlane Resto-mod

    [
This is my dad's 66 Fairlane GTA, took 5yrs to restore. Dad got cancer right after we got the car torn apart. He made it ok, but a very scary time.
IT's a 66 Fairlane GTA, 460cid crate(485hp/550tq), holley 950 fuel injection, TCI C6, Rod&Custom mustang II front suspension, owner built 3-link out back, coilovers all around, 4-wheel disc brakes, 1 off 2-1/8 primary mid length headers, dr.gas x-pipe, race 40's. Shaved door locks, all of the engine compartment sheet metal is hand fabed, all the stripes are painted. The color is ford orange crush, and then we and more orange and gold pearl. The car drives great!! Here's a few pics.

I absolutely love '66 Fairlanes...every bit as much as '66 Mustangs.

Beautiful car - so nicely done - subtle and in-your-face at the same time!!
2014 GT Premium - Sterling Gray Metallic - MT82 - Track Pack - Glass Roof - Recaro seats - Spoiler delete
12.76 @ 114.04 bone stock. Koni yellow coil-overs, BMR watts, LCA and LCA relo brackets, Borla S-type axle back.

1966 Coupe - 331 stroker - Bullet custom roller cam - cam and motor installed and dyno tuned by Rodeheavers Hot Rod - Astro A5 - McLeod RXT - 486 to the wheels - more fun than my little tires can handle

1966 Oldsmobile Toronado - currently NOT on jackstands

    Wow that is NICE!
My brother plans on doing a '66 like that soon, always been his favorite.
    How is the Holley EFI?
One suggestion---everything looks so good, then there's that ugly distributer cap, I think it would look much better black.
