Your also saying that the termy was poorly made? Cause they made and sold alot more mustang gts than termys? Just because they sold more doesnt mean that its a better vehicle. There is alot more that goes into someone buying a car. Such as money being available, what they need it for, mpg, comfort and blah blah blah

They only made my TB SS for three and half years and they sold alot more explorers in those years than my ss. Does that make the Explorer better?

I was talking about facts as in HP rating/Options that are available for/0-60 time/ handling/braking distance/mpg and so on and so forth.

I dont have a problem with opinions cuz everyone has one, but to say a car is junk just cause you dont like it is absurd especially if you never owned one.
I understand where you're coming from, no sense in hijacking this thread anymore though. good argument and to each his own

    Smart man
White5.0- I was joking around, no need to take anything personal. You like your box and I like my cavalier and thats fine. Exterior opinions aside, it is a very well built car with a great interior that in reality only weighs about 100lbs more than a 05+ mustang.
Most people on here seem to forget that I owned a Mustang before the GTO, have been around longer than most, and generally give sound advice when I can.
Fwiw, my gt had almost 97k on it when I traded it in and it was one of the most reliable cars I have ever owned. It was a good daily, even in the winter when properly fitted with snow tires and some extra weight.

A GTO would make a killer DD (with snow tires)...alot more expensive then a New Edge 'Stang though.

I thought they were alot heavier than the S197 'Stang though? Too lazy to look it up. LOL

It depends on what site you look at I guess. I have seen anything from 100-300lbs heavier. The irs adds some poundage and I think its on par with the GT500's.
You can pick up an 04 GTO for low teens these days so they aren't too much more than a new edge gt. I drove mine the first winter I owned it with all seasons and 200 lbs in the trunk. I never got stuck but hills became my biggest enemy.

Simple solution, when it snows, stay home till the roads are cleared.

Now that wasnt difficult, was it?

What happens when you have to go to work? I know I can't just choose to hang out until the roads are clear. That would be nice though

Well I got stuck coming home from work tonight. Almost got to the top of the hill by Sheetz on 19 Canonsburg. Sat there for 20+ minutes waiting for my dad and his truck to get me. I ended up pushing and my dad got it out of the side of the road. Kissed the guard rail too, but no damage thank god. Funny thing is my V6 was a trooper in the snow. I sat there getting more and more pissed and my breaking point was when a Del Sol flew by with no trouble.

Needless to say, roads are bad with no sight of Penndot or local plows.
