Tell me about Pittsburgh

I like the Moon Twp area myself as well. Stones throw from downtown, Robinson mall/restaurants etc.

Plus, there is an IHOP. To me that would be worth moving.

ihop is terrible so many good breakfast places that are not chains

janoskis in clinton
lot of good places to eat just have to know where to look

True...speaking of which, is Gab-n-Eat still in Carnegie? I took my groomsmen there the morning of my wedding ( over 17 years ago ). That place was like the dearly departed DelKid ( Robinson ), except much cleaner ( which isn't saying much )...

I would rather eat a box of cheerios than eat at ihop. That stuff is just horrible.

Ron, yes, Gab and eat is still here and just as greasy as it used to be.

Wow, I cant believe you guys hate IHOP.

I keep hearing about a converted barn, that is buffet style. 79 south past Labatory exit I belive? I cant remeber the name of the place but a few people have told me its great food for 12.99.

Gab N Eat is awesome, glad to hear it's still there, haven't been there since my buddy lived in Carnegie 10 years ago.

Is Eggs N'at still in Moon?

Wings, Suds, and Spuds in Moon rocks too.

Yes Eggs N'at is still there, and still awesome.

Wings Suds and Spuds is also awesome.

Selmas across from Sheetz in Moon is a new BBQ joint and one of the best around.

Stay out of Ambridge, Aliquippa, and Beaver Falls if you would consider Beaver County. Yeah taxes are relatively cheep but crime in those area's is getting bad.

If my wife and i were to move, we would look hard at the Moon twp., and Robinson area's along with the North Hills area. I lived in the North Hills area for a year and loved it. North Park was always hopping in the summer and usaully some Hotties, in the park too. Ross Park Mall, was 5 mins away and Downtown was 10 to 15.

Cranberry, Warrendale, Zelienople, Seven Fields, Mars, Economy, Evans City, etc....

There arent' really any "bad" areas up by Cranberry... i mean, some are going to be more/less wealthy than others, but as far as crime, etc, there's no bad areas....

Any place in Beaver county will likely be cheap on taxes and most of butler county is pretty fair as well.... Are are in a close proximity to Cranberry... Many of those would also give you that option of a "country" type living, while still being very close to Cranberry.... (if that's what you like)

Thanks everyone. I just accepted a position at Westinghouse.
I'll be a PA resident on or around 3-14.
If anyone can give me any hints on where to find a house to rent I'd greatly appreciate it.
Currently I'm looking on Realtor.com and Craigslist. Tomorrow I start calling around.
