Retarded is a little strong! I'll give you expensive but anything nice these days cost $$,$$$! I have no need for a HD truck and this Raptor will pull my quads with no problem plus it has all of the amenities I'm use to today. So would I use ... yes everyday and smiling as I stepped on the loud pedal and yelled out commands to my sync.
If you're buying a Raptor it's for OFF ROAD performance.
If you can off road a 50k truck, you are bad ass!
Hell - that mileage is no worse than my '94 F150 with a little 5.0.... But that doesn't mean that isn't some pretty darn crappy fuel economy.
Luckily, I have a pretty short commute, so gas mileage doesn't really matter to me.

12.76 @ 114.04 bone stock. Koni yellow coil-overs, BMR watts, LCA and LCA relo brackets, Borla S-type axle back.
1966 Coupe - 331 stroker - Bullet custom roller cam - cam and motor installed and dyno tuned by Rodeheavers Hot Rod - Astro A5 - McLeod RXT - 486 to the wheels - more fun than my little tires can handle
1966 Oldsmobile Toronado - currently NOT on jackstands
The Screws look a little goofy to me.
