If you guys came to this site thinking you would be the big fish in a little pond I think you may be sadly mistaken... There are some wickedly fast cars here and a number of magazine featured cars. We just don't need to go around posting it in every thread. Contrary to popular thought, humility goes a long way.

I knew that from the beginning, hell KillerC you where one of the first to make it in MMFF and 5.0 from this site. Sitting around all winter typing about nothing is boooooring!!!! If i can get a few guy feathers ruffled, maybe they or all will go to the track and have some fun grudge racing. Look at the cars on here, there are alot and I mean alot of nice, well put together cars. But alot and I'm not saying all, have very little time slips. Why built a fast car if you ain't going to test it?? KillerC you get, IMO, every once of power out of that car of yours, I've read your builds and watched the vids on the corral(which I've been on here for years as Insley95) and that thing runs awesome! Going to the track by yourself is no fun, we have enough of that around the MOV.

I didn't think I would be the top dawg but I am also up for a challenge. Lets see another street car on here that can prove that they are faster, i am not talking about keyboard commando crap. I am talking about on the track. lets get something together.

So here is a question for ya, of all your regular posters who has the fastest street car?

I by no means have the fastest street car. But I do have the absolute most street car on this site that runs mid 11's last year and I can drive it to cali if I wanted to. Dependability and driveability in mine are second to none. The only thing removed from mine was cruise and that's because I didn't want to make the cable for the flipped intake. But, a few changes have been made and the car is going to run much better this year.

Its lso a nice change having some actual racers here and not the usual detailers.

Thanks for the kind reply, I didn't know what kind of response my post may ensue. I don't have a problem with a little bench racing/grudge match but when it comes from new people to the site whom we do not know, and then their buddies join it is usually accompanied by an onslaught of problems. The difference I can see already is the different mentality you and your group of acquaintances share compared to the majority here. Most of the members here share what works and what doesn't in an effort to help out our fellow members. Most of us are not secretive about what we have, what it makes, or what it runs. It is almost like instead of having the "who's dick is bigger" argument we share what we have done so we can all have "bigger dicks" for lack of a better way of describing it. That is why when new people join everyone asks what they have done, what it runs etc. We do it and ask it for reasons that seem to be different than your group. IMO it is rude to join and introduce yourself and when someone ask what you have, what it runs, etc the response is "come run me and find out." I immediately form an opinion about people that respond that way and it is not a good one.

It shouldn't surprise you that I am of this mentality because as you obviously know I share EVERYTHING about my combo, what has worked, what hasn't etc. The only thing I don't share is my cam specs and that is only because I didn't get them from Ed until I paid for them, and out of respect for Ed as he doesn't care to have them shared. Honestly I think immediately of the fast and the furious when I hear talk of street racing, racing for money, etc. I run at the track to see what the hard work and money I have spent have resulted in, and to have fun with friends by celebrating their new best etc, I don't go to call everyone out and prove my stuff does or does not run faster than theirs. As was mentioned previously, there is always someone faster. I welcome you and your friends, but just understand that the overall mentality is very different here than what it appears it is out your way. We definitely have street racers here, and I'm sure they will find their way into these call out threads but past experience tells me I'll be locking them down soon after as nothing good or productive comes of it. I don't street race because damn near everyone knows what I run, and I therefore don't need to prove anything. If you want to beat me, take it to the track, run your number and see if if it beats mine and that's it... if you are faster great, it doesn't bother me that I am slower, I would just hope that I may learn something from you to make me faster next time out thereby making the competition and all of us a bit better.

Im same as Paul (Killercanary) if you beat me then thats fine & if I beat you thats also fine.....maybe we can learn something from each other as you now have my respect since you met me at the track & raced with me.

Hey my car only has one coat of wax on it damnit!

And to be clear, I got to the track last year once! And ran a poopy 12.2 I think. Oh well, I'm gonna try and make it out a lot more this year because I really enjoy it.
