    Lewis County Speedway
    1/8 Mile Racing
    State of the Art Dragstrip
    General Information:

    A New 1/8 Mile Dragstrip is coming to Central West Virginia.

    The Dragstrip will be Located on Route 33 between Weston and Buckhannon at the Wilson Siding Exit.This track will be the First of its kind to Operate in our area since Eldora/Fairmont Dragway near Fairmont closed in 1999.

    With easy access from Pittsburg,Pa (120 Miles), Charleston,WV (100 Miles), Fairmont WV, ( 36 Miles), Clarksburg,WV (22 Miles), Buckhannon, WV (9 Miles),
    Weston,WV (3 1/2 miles ) all of this on Modern Four-Lane Highways right to the Track.

    This Facility,is close to the Geographical Center of West Virginia.

    We will offer Modern Day Drag Racing to All Classes of Cars from Street to Strip.

    Construction of the Track will start As Soon As Weather Permits..
    Projected Opening Date for the Track is Hoped to be July 2011.

    Awesome for you guys that drag race!

    I'm not into drag racing at all, but I respect the sport. I would like to see some tracks closer to run that dont cost an arm and a leg. I wanted to get into road coarse racing like my father, but it is extremely expensive. Comparing when he did it and now is night and day. I guess SCCA has changed allot too since he was a member.

    Maybe one day. None the less this looks like a awesome place when it done!
