    Trans Am. Open Headers.

Eventually there will be photos along with this video. This start-up was just to make sure all was well since all the wiring was takin out and trimmed abit, way to many extra wires in a trans am lol. These are the TSP 1 7/8 headers. TSP MS4 cam. Vengance ported fast 90 intake with a Fast 92 big mouth throttle body. Come Spring the car will have dumped exhaust with single chamber flows. Car was also swiss cheesed some more which will be shown in future pics.

very nice!!!! I do love me the sound of an MS4.....

When i first got the 'Vette, my plan was to eventually swap out the 228/228 cam for an MS4 or similar sized cam.... haven't gotten there yet, but its definitely a good choice!! nice work!!!

thanks for posting that for me since i'm about computer illiterate. basically it's a cam only, 6 speed car. 4.30s with a spool in the Moser 9inch, built T56, all the rear suspension goodies & just a little bit of weight reduction. hopefully front suspension parts will be in the budget real soon. shooting for 10s as a cam only LS1 & with a 6 speed. the car has gone a best of 11.47 @ 120.22 last year. hopefully with the new intake & exhaust it won't be as choked up as it was. its good for unloading the rear tires after it initially hooks & then spins a fair amount. that'll hopefully be sorted out in the spring. this is my version of a street car & it only rolls around on Hoosier QTPs. as long as the weather is decent, i'll drive this thing anywhere. lol

i definitely recommend the MS4 if you have a hatred of low end torque. even with the 4.30s its gutless below about 4000 rpm

Sounds nasty. Is jay sticking with the stock heads still or is that on the to-do list?

Stock heads for now. Goal for the car is to make it on the top 20 cam only cars list. which means its gonna have to run in the high 10s

haha, yea that's what they say......
If/when i get a different cam, it won't be for a long time... plus, i'd probably find something that matches better to my 3600 stall converter... it was a long time ago i researched it, but i remember kinda liking the Tsunami or the Torquer v.2/3 ... All seemed liek they made good torque/power under the curve... I'm happy with what I have now though... i probably wouldn't see any MAJOR gains anywhere but way up top, so the money is better spent elsewhere...

thanks guys. Troy, there are a bunch of LS1 categories & there are also some gray areas in them also. there is Stock Internal, where anything goes as long as the internals are stock. then Cam Only which permits the cam & valvetrain to be upgraded. the new current record for Cam Only is 9.98. then there is Head/Cam which obviously allows heads. as far as i know, Texas Speed hold the record for Head/Cam with a 9.66
