Since I'm new here i'll ask. Does SCS have a track day where "we" rent a track for a day to run. Columbusracing does this 3-4 times a year. Didn't know if you guys did the same.

PRP has proven difficult in the past to arrange track days with. There is talk that the new track manage is more open to this now though so maybe one is a possibility now.

a few years ago, a bunch of us rented PRP & it was a pain in the rear & fairly pricey if i remember correctly. would be nice to rent because it's fairly close to home though

Are you talking road coarse or drag? If there is a place to run a road coarse I would do it in a heart beat! I am not into drag racing.

Greg Miller is no longer the track manager at PRP. PRP track manager position is starting to become like the drummer for Spinal Tap. PRP's site doesn't list who the track manager is now. I would say try Pamela first, you should at least get a response from her.
I thought Greg was a racer and going to turn things around for the racers?
Oh well, hope they get their sh!t together.
Anyone want to try to organize a track rental?
I've got too much going on right now, not willing too especially after the whole King of Street BS last year.

Track days aren't that hard to arrange, just getting the people to pay what the track wants is hard. A buddy of mine had one last year, around 15 cars went and spent around 100.00 each. I would have no problem paying that for a 4-5 hours of racing but im not sure who else would.

The last time I went to a Hollywood Knights track day at QCR the cost was only $35 for the day. If you wanted, you could have made 30 runs. Lots of fun for the money! Of course, that was about 4 years ago...

We would definitely be in for a track day at either PRP or Salem. I have only run at PRP, but the hubby took my car to Salem once, he had a lot of traction problems, but I still had the Good Year Eagles on with very little tread. Oh yeah, and he can't drive the Cobra! Maybe I will get the DRs on early this year and solve that problem once and for all!
I'm in for a track rental as long as it's not ohio. 100 is fine for me for a rental with all the track time you would get, considering what it cost for a T&T and how few runs you get
Just a stupid question, but would this rental be a "Mustang" thing or "Anything". There are a lot of people on this site that don't necessarily have a Mustang, but might be up for a track day and it may help keep the cost down a bit. Jut wondering. If it dosen't matter what car/make/model Pat and I would each be in.

PRP just added the track rental info, one lane only, $1500 for 1-10 cars
then $100 for each additional car, 4 hours only
I have never gone to a "private track day", but that just doesn't seem right. Only one lane? What fun is that?
