The car was built by Auto Illusions. This is the first time that I have worked with them, so I don't know much about them or what they do. From what I can tell though, they did a very nice job on the car!

There is however a mechanical issue and is no doubt why the car did not make more power. The car also has a KB Mammoth with a 4" pulley that is dragging the motor down! Average boost throughout the entire pull was only 8-9 lbs, not nearly enough for a KB 2.8 Mammoth!

Once the mechanical issues are fixed and the car is pullied accordingly, definitely capable of 700+ RWHP....

They fixed some issues and brought the car back for some more tuning. Traded the 4" pulley for a 3.5"....

How much boost are they planning on running once it's all said and done Mike? I thought their original plan was to have a 7-800 RWHP car?

They want the car to make somewhere in the range you suggested. It would be easy with race gas but they want to stay pump. We are going to put on a 3" pulley and do a Torco tune when it comes back, that should put it around the 700 mark. I wont spray it unless it is on race gas, we will see what they want to do about that when the time comes...

    Owner Of 07 Roush

ALL, To dispel the Myths and state the facts i offer the following:

I actually Spent $68K on Upgrades which include - Custom made fluid tanks, New Shelby Cobra 2011 6 Speed Trans, 800 Hp 1 piece Roush Drag Pak Driveshaft, Mcleod 2 disck clutch , West Coast Damper, Thumper Belt Tensioner, Reworked Wiring Harness, NOS with Window switch, and so many other options i would have to take a day to write them out. No deep pockets just a lust for speed and good 401k balance. Tired of Driving SUV's and wanted something to spice up old age.

Car has Livernois 1000Hp 5.0L stroker motor and Kenne Bell 2.8 Liter Blower with Long Tube headers -- jet hot coated. 3" exhaust with Flowmaster axel backs. Ford Racing Hot Rod Cams.

Ride Tech Tiger Cage and enough Sterio to scare the Kids next door

last tune was 593 RWHP with 503 RWTQ-- 10 lbs of boost -- next tune 18 lbs of boost and 700+hp

Held on the road by Roush Trak Pak shocks and big Brakes

I got to see and hear your car down at Mike's when he was tuning it. Very nice sounding car! Mike blipped the throttle at one point and it scared the piss out of me!

The Car (Roush) is Pretty amazing as long as teh streets are dry. Auto Illusions ( Rich Marstof) Is a fantastic Guy and great car builder -- you just have to wait forever as they cannot find good help to do the everyday work like brakes and car starters . It seems crazy to wait when spending this kind of cash but that appears to be their system. If their work was not such high quality i would have given up a year ago... and the fact that they are good people.

I have also entrusted a brand new 2011 SHelby cobra to them which i am hoping to have by the end of March. same 1000Hp build. This one will have the 3.6L Kenne Bell Mamouth blower.

Looking foward to attending one of the groups events this year. Dave

Yeah Rich is a really good guy. I used to work for him a bit about 6 or 7 years ago doing remote starters. I doubt he would remember me though....

Hey Dave - welcome to SCS. My buddy Jason ( '65 GT350 and other really nice Mustangs ) told me about your car last year and when I saw it at the Moon Park show I could see how right he was when he said your car is amazing.

My neighbor, Steve Henderson, also works at Eaton in the Cherrington complex. Any chance you know him? He drives a red Mini Cooper S. We live less than a mile from there. I grew up golfing at the old Montour Heights Country Club where your offices were built. I think your building sits where holes 4, 5, 6, and 7 used to be. :D

Are you going to take it to the track to see if it runs the number or just show it ? I got dibs on the first race against your car. I only have 500hp though

Not sure what you mean by " Just Posting teh #'s" because these are coming from a DYNO. I would have not intention of giving you Dibs on the car . The Roush will be run at the track but for fun only -- at age 57 i have nothing to prove to anyone . Thanks for the challenge though it reminded me of when i was 16 .

Thanks For the message and compliments -- i am kinda new to this fast car game so i guess i have a lot to learn. I think i finally figured out how to achieve a balance between having HP /performance and Style. Not a cheap pastime.
I think i have talked with Jason about every friday night last year at the Wexford cruise.- hope to meet you sometime at one of teh cruises.
I know steve well from work -- he is a great guy and very smart.
Have a good one -- lets pray fopr some weather. Dave
