Might have a few questions for you concerning the blow through set up. My buddy will be chiming in here tomorrow I am sure.

stock spring/damper arrangement upfront, or converted to coilovers or a strut setup? How about the rear susp....just a stock leaf setup or a custom leaf setup? You have to do anything to combat body roll?

Nice car....I like old school stuff

Sure thing, I will answer what I can.

Yeah, i had a 30mm cog and couldn't keep a belt on it so I am upgrading to 50mm stuff and gonna spin the blower a little harder next year.

Stock up front (that is the project for next winter).
I have the full Caltrac rear suspension with 4 shocks and the Caltrac monoleaf setup. I have a little bit of drop on the right rear but not much.

My best 60' last year was a 1.31 (with issues).

    Thanks man. I appreciate it.

Nothing beats the sound and grip of cogs.

I've heard good things about the monoleaf....looks like a nice stance. I wanted mine to sit a certain way and thought the monoleaf would be too tall. I went with a set of narrow leafs from EPS out of colorado. I take it you moved the leafs inboard and tubbed it for 325's on a 64-66 car.

I agree but if I can't keep a belt on the bitch next year I am gonna go gear drive next year.

Nah, I minitubbed it and just notched the frame. I like the mono but it rides real rough. I used the spring sliders in the rear and made them so I could adjust the ride height a little.

Any chance you are getting bracket flex? You running renegade brackets? Are you running too much tension and making it walk?

I have a blower brace and a Kurgan brace. The problem is that I am putting too much stress on that 30mm belt. I called the guy from ASP and even he agree'd. i have all my 30mm stuff for sale and stepping up.

When i would run a 75/31 combo i didn't have any issues but when I stepped up to 75/28 i couldn't keep a belt on at all.

Thanks, yeah it's clean. I don't want her to sell it at all but she is quite stubborn. Andrea (my wife) runs the car at a couple of NMRA t/s races a year. The car has been in several mag's.

Love that '65! Drums or discs up front? Who did your cage? What's the front suspension plan? On my '66 I have Global West tubular upper control arms and the car handles great. Not cheap, but less than many of the newer coil-over setups. Also running the GW Del-alum rear spring bushings with the GW rear leafs. Ride is firm but not harsh, and the handling is great.

    How about some engine pics?
2014 GT Premium - Sterling Gray Metallic - MT82 - Track Pack - Glass Roof - Recaro seats - Spoiler delete
12.76 @ 114.04 bone stock. Koni yellow coil-overs, BMR watts, LCA and LCA relo brackets, Borla S-type axle back.

1966 Coupe - 331 stroker - Bullet custom roller cam - cam and motor installed and dyno tuned by Rodeheavers Hot Rod - Astro A5 - McLeod RXT - 486 to the wheels - more fun than my little tires can handle

1966 Oldsmobile Toronado - currently NOT on jackstands
