Miles are a little high, but that wouldn't really discourage me too much on a Honda product.

I like the TL's, but for some reason i'm not real interested in one..... I always thought they were awesome looking cars, but maybe its b/c a good friend of mine has one, and i've been around it a bit, I just want something different.... I dunno..

I LOVE the color of that one you posted... thats the same car that John just bought, and its gorgeous... BUT, its way too many miles... we definitely want to keep it under 50K miles... I have looked for TL's, just incase, but haven't seen any loaded ones (with navigation, etc) for my price range

We were able to drive both the IS and the G35 tonight... both are very nice... g35 has quite a bit more head room, which is a nice thing for a tall guy like me, but the IS seems like it has plenty to keep me happy.... IS is much more comfortable and plush.. inside its very sharp... G35 isn't as nice inside, but i cant' decide which one i like better on the outside.... however, Ang likes the IS, so that gets the nod between the two....

Going tomorrow night to check out a 5 and 3 series Bimmer... hopefully we'll have a definite on what direction we wanna go....

I'm just having trouble determining at what point (amount of $$ savings) i would move take my 2nd favorite... its a tough call...

Well, we finally bought a car...
    2006 Lexus IS350 .... 34K miles - absolutely mint condition...

I researched the available packages, and it appears to have every option that is available...
    -heated and cooled seats
-touch screen navigation with backup camera and full voice controls
    -bluetooth phone connections
    -DVD entertainment
    -parking distance sensors
    -18" wheels
    -sport suspension
-"active" bi-xenon headlights (the headlights actually turn with the car to see around turns)
-14 speaker premium Mark Levinson Audio system
    -rain-sensing winshield wipers
and all the rest of teh bells and whistles you'd expect on a car liek this...

below are some cell phone pics i took at the dealership.... these cars seem to be much more rare and hold their value unbelievably well, but i found one out in the middle of nowhere, so i got a steal of a deal on it... had to drive 8 hrs to northern Michigan to pick it up, but it was certainly worth it...

Great car, great handling, and has a very powerful engine... 3.5L V6 with 306hp... 6-speed automatic transmission with the option to put it in manual mode and use the steering wheel paddle-shifters....

I couldn't be happier with the car...

MUCH MUCH better choice than the german choices you had listed...simply for quality and maintaining the car factor...if you ask me. I know a chick with one and she loves it. PLus they sound good when you put a nice exhaust on them. I think the Greddy SP2 and the HKS sound about the best WITHOUT being ricey at ALL.

ya know, i've already thought about this... as when you open the car up, it sounds like it has the potential to make a really nice noise...... but, i doubt i'll do anything to it... its also nice having something that is super quiet and comfortable... and any mod-money will probably go to the 'Vette anyhow...

    I think this is still quiet....lexus even makes a sport exhaust for it. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfX-ZWmAeeQ"]YouTube - IS350 Greddy SP2 Exhaust[/ame]

That almost sounds like the audi's to me...still quiet and you can curse me later for trying to talk you into it....just the salesmen in me lol.

That is completely 100% false. The Toyota Avalon is a completely different car from the IS250. Avalon FWD IS250 RWD (or AWD). Completely different chassis.

I'm also very impressed with how quiet the engine is.... i mean, with the hood up, you can hear it doing its thing (as expected) but i'm used to LSx motors, which I think are horrifically loud typewriters with the hood up... when the hood is down, you can't hear it running from the front, and from the side you have to be standing right next to the car listening for it....

funny part is, i see people on the net complaining about the loud ticking noise that this engine makes, and how its normal and its a result of the direct injectors....... if they only knew ... i think its darn quiet
