    Tire advice

Hey people, I just picked up a 94 Gt and am looking for tires among other things. The car has y2k Cobra R rims they are 9.5" as I recall and would like to run a nice wide tire out back and more narrow tire up front..for the front I was thinking 245/40/18 how wide can I get out back on those y2k Cobra R's?

    Rim Width Range: 10 - 11.5 in

you sure I can pull that off on a 9.5, dont want a reverse stretch LOL

    Looks good tho..

Not too many 9.5" rims out there to get experience from. My gut tells me it would be ok. I have a 12.4 section with tire on a 10.5" wheel so a 11.6 section width tire on a 9.5" should be close to that.

With 4 rims the same size I would run same tires on all 4 corners so I can rotate them....

    I think a 275 or 285 35 18 is a good fit...that's what I ran on those wheels...

i used to have those wheels on my car. i ran 265/35/18 up front. 245 waaaaay to skinny.
    and 285/40/18 in the back.

    dont go with 245......

my front wheels are 9.5" wide, and the stock size is a 265/40-17 ... So, a 265-275 width should work perfect....... there's LOTS of tires in a 275 width, so you should have a good selection

and yes, i agree with John above... being able to rotate them would be nice.... i have 265/40-17 on front and 295/35/18 on rear.... and can't rotate a one of them
