If the lsx motors are so much better then the mod motors, why did people not buy more cars with that motor in it to help GM get out of the bail-out? I'm not knocking GM, I have two (see sig). I'm just tired of people knocking the Mod motors. I would never put a GM motor in a Ford or vise-versa.

17 Ram 1500 Big Horn Hemi
16 Comp O GT Performance Pack
03 Oxford white Cobra (Gone but not forgotten)
i work on both, of course i am biased but all honestly i would only buy a mod motor if it has at least 100k once reaches that they seem to run forever. the ones i have replaced have had under 60k on them and were maintained too. but then other end of spectrum have several with over 200k one with over 300k and they run like a champ. but everything about them in a pain. tune up? 3.5hrs just silly. motor swap 22hrs? and to buy one they are expensive too. in fact out of 150 motors i have installed that was one of most expensive junkyard motor next to honda prelude h22(but those are rare)
they lack torque of a pushrod motor the smaller 5.3 runs cirlces about the 5.4 IMO. to me ford went backwards with mod motors in trucks. in cars they run great where torque really isn't an issue.
72 Ranchero GT - I just think they look sinister, pretty rare, unique styling
66-77 Bronco
I am probably going to sell my 91 GT this spring to make the room to start one of these projects.
