We'll I hauled my Cobra out to Lasota's this saturday, thanks to Bill (Rio94gt) for lending me his trailer to haul it out. Took me about 3hours to get there, not to bad. They are going to be road testing my car to get the initial tune setup so that we dont have to have the car on the dyno forever to get it dialed in. I'll be getting a few different tunes done using the SCT chip.
tune 1- regular 93 octane
tune 2- regular 93 octane + 50% meth/50% distilled water injection
tune 3- rugular 93 octane + 50% meth/50% distilled water injection + 110 race gas
They are going to be tuning it on the street hooked up to a wideband during the coarse of this week and on saturday March 24 i'll be heading out w/ my buddy who's also getting his truck thrown on the dyno to see what kind of power he's laying down, (should be 450rwhp 800+rwtq) in his 2005 dodge ram diesel. So this saturday I will have my new power #'s. Im really excited & cant wait to see what my car will do. Here's my combo for those that dont know it:
Stock gt-40 iron heads, Stock cobra intake, upper has been port matched to the lower & 75mm throttle body, the lower intake is stage 2 ported by foxlake racing, proffesional products 75mm t.b. SCT 2800 maf w/ AFM powerstack 10" filter, Morpheus 4" powerpipe, stock cobra 1.7 pedestal mount rockers, Comp Cam double valve springs 165lbs. seat pressure @ 1.850 intalled height w/ 410 open pressure, Camshaft Innovations custom billet cam, comp cams billet timing chain, comp cams lifters, romac 50oz. sfi balancer, Vortech V-1 S-trim w/ 2.85 pulley, BBK 1 5/8 longtube headers w/ 2 1/2" collectors, BBK 2 1/2" offroad h-pipe, Magnaflow 2 1/2" mufflers, 2 1/2" mandrel bent tail pipes, Meziere electric water pump, MSD 6al ignition, MSD coil, MSD plug wires, Walbro 255lph fuel pump gss340, Seimens Deka 60lb. injectors, AFM Mr. Freeze meth/water injection kit. I think thats everything, the shortblock is untouched crank, rods, pistons, brgs all w/ 110,000+ miles, the heads are unported gt-40 irons w/ stock valves & pedestal mount rockers.
With the small (2.85) pulley I should see anywhere from 15-18lbs. of boost, I'll be sure to post the #'s up when I get them next weekend. If I had any money left over I'd like to go w/ a set of 1 3/4 longtube headers w/ a 3" collectors, and then run a 3" midpipe, w/ 3" mufflers, & dumps.
Lasota Racing has been top notch w/ everything up to this point and I believe everything will continue to go smoothly, as these guys really know what customer service is about so far. I feel very comfortable w/ my car in their hands, and I cant say that about many people. We'll see how everything finish's up this saturday. Wish the car and I luck....
