I like ford dark blue...
Next time you may be better off taping off the gasket surfaces, bolt holes, and crank snout.
I like to have a roughed up but clean surface for gaskets...a little RTV here and there is a good idea too. You can remove the paint with a wire wheel or 3m gasket remover wheel on a drill. (looks like maybe that's what was used to scuff up the block prior to paint anyway)
What did you decide on the header coating?

For now I just painted them. I plan on doing a new header and exhaust system sometime down the road.
The one on the left has finish paint, the one on the right just primer.

looks good but my man you gotta mask that motor off when you paint. The plug holes are open. Good luck with your project.

x2 I just learned how to wire up a relay, lol I was never taught.
Finished with the engine bay painting and have the engine back in place. Just need to bolt on the rest.

cool valve covers, You know I have never seen them before.
Purchased the valve covers from NPD. Then did alittle paint work to them.
