Lady Gaga the Ball Python passed away 2/23/11 @11:39pm. Gaga was 4.5ft long. She loved chillaxin to Lady Gaga, U2, DMX and White Zombie. Rest in Peace Lady G Mami!

Two weeks prior to her passing she wouldn't come out of her hiding spot. I checked her the first week and I let her go b/c she was shedding. When I checked her the second week she had burrowed under her bedding and was directly on top of the heat source and burned herself. I called the reptile vet, got meds and injections to give her but they didn't work.
The last week she was alive she was very skittish. She bit me a couple times but it didn't hurt and she didn't coil up and strike at me when she did decide to bite.
It's just very sad. You've had your snake for 16yrs when something's wrong you'll know.
That is sad.
Are you going to look for another?
I got mine about 4 years ago from a friend whose new wife insisted that he (he-the-snake, not the man;) must go.

Not sure what I will do yet?! I've talked to numerous plp/pet stores and they want too much money for a ball pythons.
I found someone on Craigslist getting rid of a Red Tail Boa. She said she couldn't take it cause she's moving and the snake is aggressive. She wanted $100 for it. I told her I'd take it but I'm not paying for it. I haven't received a reply yet, so we"ll see what happens.
