    flywheel question..

Hello, I wanted to know if you guys have anything good or bad to say about an Aluminum flywheel.. or go with the steel?

I had a few buddys say that Aluminum revs much faster and its alot better for geting up to speed.. and I also had a few guys say they are just for racing and that do not last long.. anyone running them? and do you like them?

Please any info would be very helpfull thanks.

I dunno I run an aluminum flywheel. Only real issue would be street use with lack of spinning mass compared to steel. Easy to stall car at stops untill your use to how it responds. Engine is quick to rev but also as quick to drop rpms.

What I really like is when replacing clutch I can replace friction surface and be done with it. I probably should have used steel when NA to help with low rpm but ah well. I'll probably use an aluminum on again with my blower motor.
