Looking for a reputable alignment shop

    Hey all,

I'm looking for an alignment shop that specializes on lowered vehicles. It seems to me that your local places like, sears, firestone, and others just can't get the job done. They always give me a run-around on how they can't get my car lowered to my spec.

My car only sits as high as a stock 03/04 cobra. The caster and toe are fine, but shops can't get the camber. All I want is for each side to be at negative 1... and I have caster/camber plates too. They just don't know what they're doing.

Anyone have any recommendations on a reputable shop that can align lowered vehicles?

    Thanks.

I was going to go to Sears and ask them to align it to my specs... more than likely I'd be interested as well for a place that can do a performance alignment.

I had a member here named Mike (383taman) do mine. He works at Irvine Alignment in Warrendale (I think he still works there). My car is pretty slammed, and they got it onto and off of the rack with no damage and the alignment is perfect

Well you adjust the gauge based off of the garage floor.

I could do that, I used to do my own alignments on my race car and it's probably going to be the only way I get my car done right.

Thanks for the info. How long ago did you get your alignment? Did this Mike guy personally align your car or did a random guy in the shop do it? Does this shop seem like they know what they are doing?

    Your car definitely looks slammed.

Sorry it took a couple days to get back to you, didn't see your post.

Yes Mike did mine personally, I had it done probably 2 years ago and the tire wear is perfect up front.

The place seems to know their stuff pretty well, I haven't had any experience with the other technicians there, but I would recommend just shooting him a PM to see if you can work something out. He did mine on one of his days off. I'm not sure if you have aftermarket CC plates or not, but definitely get something aftermarket if you want it perfect. The better quality, the better your alignment can be (the lower you go, the more adjustment you need). I have maximum motorsports 4 bolt CC plates on mine.

I should also mention I had him align my scion tc daily driver that is lowered 2.3" front and 2.0" rear and that alignment is spot on as well

I was wondering the same... I used to use affordable alignments on route 8, they had a drive on alignment rack in a pit. The sign is gone and I'm pretty sure they are out of business.

Might have to speak with Mike.

Any suggestions in the North Huntingdon or Monroeville areas? I wouldn't rule out a drive to Warrendale either if 383taman is my best bet. I'm hoping to get my car done within the next week.
