I drove a black XLR back in 2005. Definitely a very nice car. I think it was one of the first cars with the keyless start?

Did you consider ( for you ) a CTS-V? I drove one of those on the same day. That car ( the older, 400hp 6-speed version ) really impressed me. Great power and handling, especially for a 4-seater! These days they're what - like 569 horses? Amazing...

The XLR came about by accident. It was in one of the detail garages of the dealership I got my wifes CTS from and I just kind of had to have it. I had looked at a CTS V before we got the CTS, and only ruled it out because of no AWD. The new supercharged V's are insane.

WTH is it with you people and superchargers? Everyone knows turbo > supercharger on a CTS:

Thanks. They are built off the corvette c6 platform, but have northstar DOHC engines rated at 320 hp, so a little quick, but not what I'd consider fast. They also offered a supercharged V version with around 440 hp. New were around 75k standard and 105K V, now are around 25k-40K standard and 35-50K for a V
