Anger management?! You?!? Nah!!! We've seen worse!

Well, between being a nut hugger/swinger defender of bracket racing, and then making fun of Balaska, and occasionally teasing Bob and Ed and the "more rpm" philosophy, it adds up.

    LMFAO!!!!

i guess what happened to my friend must've been imaginary & the 3 of us were hallucinating. lol. none of us really care about it now, but just something to watch for.

on another note, i've heard countless times how PRP doesn't make any many, but looking at their schedule it's no wonder why. there shouldn't be a weekend that they don't have something going on Friday night, Saturday & Sunday. they need to start listening to everybody, not just the regulars. maybe then some of the occasional racers (like myself & many others) would become regulars.

how is that at BSD on a 6 hour test & tune, i've made 20 passes sitting out for maybe an hour of it or so, but PRP on a real good night 5 passes is it. they need to make a lot of changes & maybe go see how some other tracks are run & maybe incorporate that into their program.

so have a lot of others. lol

back in 04 i think it was, they used to have Street Wars. that was a fun bracket setup they had going, but of course they quit doing it. i raced that program every Friday except when it would rain of course. i actually made it semi's several times, but then i would always take myself out (redlight), but always had fun doing it.

The problem with Pittsburgh Raceway is that they try things and if they don't take off the 1st time the event is held, the scrap the idea. To me it seems they want instant gratification every new event they try. The reputation they have for poor productivity on T&T nights reflects on the turn out of NON bracket Race events. If they would set a schedule and let it grow with a little time I think they would be surprised at the growing turnout.

I would have to agree... What happened to their friday night flashlight drags wannabe event. I would have gone out just because it was on a Friday night instead of a Thursday... who the hell wants to be out until 11pm+ on a Thursday night to get their 3rd pass.

That was a REALLY fun format ... It got a lot of us to try bracket racing in a format that was more friendly to first timers or the regular test and tune guy. Key was that the only "purse" was a race pass and a sticker.

The next year it was ADVERTISED as a program much the same, but the first race they change the format to be just a test and tune with lots of down time for a band and the bikini contest ... it lost interest fast and of course died.

I don't understand some of the decisions that management makes either, nor do I believe it matters if you're an occasional or regular racer. It's always easy to say, "If it were me, I'd..." .... but I agree with you, seems to me a track's money making hours would start Friday afternoon and go to Sunday evening.

Comparison to BSD is hard for me, as I haven't been there on a test n tune. I do know when I've been there to run brackets, the car count was about half of a PRP race day.

I loved that program too. It was nice being able to have practice at both ends of the track, not just the tree. I think it was, what, $25, just $5 more than the TnT price at the time? And like you guys said, it was a good way to develop racers into the regular race day.

I wish on test and tunes nights they'd do what some tracks around the country do, make "dial in" lanes. It's all test and tune, but you throw a dial on the car, and run against someone else dialing in. No eliminations, just bracket practice at both ends of the track.

    It's all good Brent!

And if anyone wants to try a regular race day, and has questions, looking for advice, etc, hit me up here or at the track. I'd be glad to try to help you out.

Doubt I'll get to the track this year with the move and new job and all going on.
I don't have my "good" garage and tools to work on my car if something breaks.
Also I haven't changed a single thing with my setup since last year. Unless I do more work to my turbo I won't get below a 13.5 without a miracle 60'.
That being said I'm 1 hour away now from PRP and QC! So chances are good I'll at least get some spectating in.

Exactly...BSD comparisons are a complete waste of time. They have 30-50 cars on a GREAT TnT day. We have 175-300. Believe me, I have made plenty of passes at Beaver, and sure they let you just go round and round, I think my bro made 27 passes one day, but just can't compare anything in the way they are "running" the place with PRP two different animals.
