which oil pan, pump for my 408w?

I need an oil pan for my sportsman block 408w in my '91 notch. What brand(moroso, canton, etc)should I go with and why? I am also up in the air on an oil pump for it. Should I run an ARP oil pump shaft? Any suggestions welcome. Thanks.

Hey Mark, used to run a Canton Pro pan, now run a custom Stef's I got a killer deal on, both have worked well no problems. You will have it easier than a Dart Iron Eagle with 4-bolts on all mains, my SVO is like your Sportsman and more selection available.
I run an ARP shaft and Melling pump.

Mark I recommend using a moroso MOR20520 oil pan a melling m-83 oil pump and a ford racing. A341* shaft. This is a bullet proof setup plus its worth a little power too. The only better setup is a bilet fab pan and peterson external wetsump oil pump.

    pan/pump

Thanks for the replies fellas. I will have to do some searching around for prices and such. So I only need a standard volume oil pump, not a HV pump? I will be running a turbo soon.

I am glad that I went with the sportsman too. Like you said J,a lot more choices.

    pan/pump

After doing some checking I think that I have made up my mind. I am going to order a canton pro pan, melling M-83 pump and A341 ford racing shaft. Thanks for the advice fellas.

Is that standard or high volume?
I think you'd be fine either way, I went HV based on recommendation at that time with a a turbo system.

    oil system

Well I changed my mind again,LOL. I just ordered a moroso eliminator oil pan #20532,moroso pick up tube #24532,ARP oil pump shaft and melling M-83HV pump modified with a screw adjuster to adjust the pressure(from Holcomb Motorsports). The oiling system is done!
