NO!
Nice looking build, but not a good fit for me. It's a great show car ... the best of everything, but it will never be used for performance and it's got an A4LD tranny (will puke if anyone ever puts power through one). He is a member on Turboford and we had updates as the car was being built. Most of the engine combo was spec'd out on there for him.
He just posed up that he will have the car at the Portland Roadster show and a magazine is going to shoot it for an article ...

I didn't mean that exact car... 300 horsepower and 30 mpg highway in an early 2.3 turbo Mustang with a T5 ( I agree the auto wouldn't be much fun with that motor ) would be pretty neat though...and you could build it with your eyes closed.

Likely ... I have enough of spare parts around here to build a nice driver combo ... just traded my Iron big valve head for an ARCA head so the next build will unfortunately probably be something stupid light and stupid un-reliable :D I still have the 77 pinto wagon on deck, just not sure where it's going to go.
If I was going to pile the money needed to do it "right" into an early Mustang, it would be a shame to have it 2.3 powered (and that's probably a shock coming from me).
I was hoping to see a certain member here build one out of a 64 1/2 Mustang, but he sold the donor car so no idea what he is up to now ;)
The owner of that car bought truck loads of parts from us. Pretty cool concept.
