    Aluminum welding

Need to find someone in the Pittsburgh area (not looking to travel more than about 30-45 mins from the north hills) that can weld an oil fill tube onto some fabbed aluminum valve covers for me, as well as a baffle underneath. I already have the oil fill and made the aluminum baffle.

Normally I can do any TIG welding I need at work in our metal shop, but I've only done it on thicker aluminum and I'm not comfortable working with the thin stuff yet. Can anybody recommend someone or a shop that isn't going to charge a ridiculous price? It should only take a good welder a few minutes to do.

I found a thread on here from a while ago that talked about a place in Monessen but that's a bit far for me.

I looked into street lethal, but they're an hour and 15 min trip one way for me. I was looking for someone more local if possible.

Doesn't have to be a shop, just anyone handy with a TIG.

Another option is Acme Heating and Roofing in Sheraton. Don't let the name fool you, the place is a full-on metal fabricating shop. The guy who owns the place is the best welder I've ever seen.

I don't know if Dave welds on thinner stuff or not, but his chassis work is top notch. He's on West Liberty across from Wendy's.
