Sounds nice. Is that just a tune that changes the idle? Pretty cool if that's the case - you get the benefits of a tune plus the change in idle sound without any driveability issues normally associated with a cam swap.

It's called the " ghost cam tune" and Jon Lund is the only one at this time. Evolution performance will be offering the tune soon.

Its crazy how fast people like Lund and SCT get into the new processors and figure out how to change parameters and tune the new engines.

What does someone like Lund use to tune a brand new processor? does he develop the software himself or what? i always wondered

I'm sure he uses SCT.... It's not really rocket science once you understand how EFI works and what the tables do, you can adapt to a new platform quite easily.

Sorry Mark, I gotta disagree with ya on this one. Why spend the money on 4 new cams that cost at least a grand when you can spend a couple hundred on a tune. I'm gonna guess and say that people that buy bigger cams only want them for the sound anyway. I could by wrong!

Gotta admit, the car sounded about as mean as my N91 cammed 302 did, but I really don't think I would be able to face friends or family if I went and had a tune done just to make my car sound as if I swapped camshafts. I kind of see it as the same as some ricer putting an air filter that looks like an intercooler on their Honda, or those speakers that make blow-off valve sounds for those unfortunate enough to not be able to afford fabbing up a $500 turbo kit on said Honda.

When I was running TwEECer with multi tunes on a switch, I had a tune that mostly idled stock, and one that had more tractor sound to it (could call it agressive) ... For that it was all about the timing and AFR target. I'm sure it can be tamed down, but "agressive" usually means overlap and you can't tune that in or out on a pushrod engine.

Do the 2011 Mustangs have a "black box"? I am fairly confident they do. If so, if anyone touches the tune, other than Ford for a legitimate issue, you have voided the factory warranty. Taking it back to stock does nothing other than reset the factory calibrations. Your new tune stays in the "black box" for eternity. Are you prepared to be pay all expenses out of pocket?

I think you misunderstood the sound is just a side effect of the tune or in addition to it the power went up and it gained that idle
