im having trouble swapping my auto pedal assembly for the 5spd on my 00 gt. i got the 5spd assembly up and in place (not bolted down yet) and that round stud on the top of the brake pedal shaft wont line up with that rod with the circle (that comes from threw the firewall to the brake system) to go around the stud. its off about a 1/2 inch.
i have no idea what to do, ive wingled, fidangled, twisted, turned and tried any which way to get the d*** thing in.
any suggestions?

I'm not completely sure but I think I know what your talking about. Mine didn't line up initially either. You said you haven't bolted anything in yet. I had to bolt the assembly down so everything was in the exact right location first.
